FInding Your Story Within

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

I finally have an official copy of my book in my hands, so, needless to say, the last 48 hours have been one big celebration! I think the most important thing that I have experienced through this book-writing process is that all good things are worth the wait. I have also been really compelled to encourage others to start documenting their life’s journey. It doesn’t mean that everyone has a book they need to write, but taking the time to write in a journal, in a blog, or in any capacity, about your daily experiences, can later serve as a great tool for self-reflection. All too often, people undermine the importance of their own personal journey and the accomplishments they have already completed. It is so easy in our fast-paced world, to continue searching or reaching for the next marker in our perception that we’ll see as the next goal on our continuous list of goals, that we diminish the present and forget to celebrate even our smallest of victories. In fact, I have already had people ask me when the next book will be out, and although my mind is contantly going, and I plan on writing many books, I am also taking the time to relish in the victory of this book, so that I can live life in the present, and celebrate with my friends and family, this milestone in my career. I have met some amazing people recently and after talking with them for a very short amount of time, I began to see that they, too, have a remarkable story that would benefit others to hear. When I have told a few of these people that they should consider writing a book, all too often they will say, “I have nothing to write about. My life is too boring.” However, believe me, there is no one that survives, even a 24-hour period on planet Earth, that doesn’t have a story that is waiting to be told. Whether or not someone makes the personal choice to publicly share their story is an indivividual’s decision, although I will be the first to say, “Don’t diminish your importance on the planet and the accomplishments you have made because without you and your story, the world would be a different place, and suffer the loss of what you have to offer to your collective family, the human race.

I am also really excited because this weekend I will be teaching a Psychic and Mediumship Development seminar, helping individuals tap into their own spiritual gifts because, believe it or not, we all have the capabilities of living a life with greater internal knowledge and tools to help us better navigate our journey. I am even guilty of not always paying attention to the signs and symbols that my spirit guide, angels, and god offers to help me succeed. All too often, people including myself, tend to forget that God and the universe, only want the best for each and every one of us. This brings me to the next wonderful experience that having a copy of my book has granted me, which is yet another reinforcement that, when you work hard and put love and effort out into the universe, and recognize that you are here to serve God to help spread positivity, success is at your fingertips if you believe that with your whole heart and walk with confidence. So, no matter what kind of writer you are, or what stage you are at in your life, make the effort to write down even the smallest element of your experiences and God will help you express your story within.
